More strips and new ways of clamping

It's been some time since my last post. The strips are starting to go on and the shape of the finished canoe is becoming more and more apparent. I've started to work my way down the canoe sides.  This is a bit easier as I don't have to use the air hose to protect the fragile cove, and the bead is great as it has no sharp corners and allows the tape to be stretched quite a bit before it breaks. This means nice tight clamping pressure and tight joints. Although there is no 'cup' effect for holding the glue it wasn't as difficult as I thought to keep the bead from dripping.
